Elite Training Group (Ages 12 and Over)

For swimmers who have achieved Canadian Open or Canadian Trials Championships standards, this is the highest performance level in our club.

1. Training Focus

• Commitment to Excellence: Athletes must show full commitment to swimming as their primary focus.
• Comprehensive Development: Includes specialized dryland, cognitive training, and high-intensity water sessions to simulate race conditions.
• Peak Performance: Sessions are designed around extensive aerobic sets, intervals, and tactical development.

2. Coach and Athlete Collaboration

• Strong Relationships: Coaches and swimmers maintain close communication, with personalized feedback and tailored adjustments.
• Expert Support: Swimmers work with experienced coaches for advanced technique refinement and strategic race planning.

3. Group Requirements

• Selective Membership: Entry is based on Canadian Open or Trials time standards and assessment of attitude and work ethic.
• Attendance and Engagement: Full participation in training, competitions, and team events is mandatory.

4. Progression and Season

• Performance Tracking: Regular evaluations keep swimmers on track for their goals.
• Championship Commitment: Athletes must attend all top-tier meets they qualify for, including travel and preparation.
• Season Duration: September through July, aligning with the championship calendar. Swimmers are expected to prioritize major meets.
• Training Camps: Two performance camps (December and March) are scheduled, with additional costs.
