November 16, 2009 - Thunderbolts Make Their Mark in Kenora at Northwest Ontario Invitational
Between them, Thunder Bay Thunderbolts swimmers Elisabeth Hurlen, Alexis
Halvorsen and Nathan Hay took twenty-two 1st place finishes at this past
weekend’s KSS Fall Invitational hosted by the Kenora Swimming Sharks. Elisabeth Hurlen swept all 9 of her events placing 1st in the women’s 14 year
old 50m and 100m freestyle; 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke; 50m and 100m

at the Ontario Long Course Provincials
Alexis Halvorsen won a gold medal in the girls 10 and under 50 meter
breaststroke competition on the opening day of the Ontario Junior
Provincial Long Course Championships being held in London, Ontario
July 2nd through 6th.

Ever at the Thunderbolts May International
After a weekend filled with exciting swimming competition, the overall
team championship was decided in the last race of the meet. When it
was over, the Great Wolf Swim Club edged out the Thunder Bay
Thunderbolts by a margin of two points to win the 36th Annual
Thunderbolts May International Swim Meet held at the Canada Games
